Why staying in corporate is still a smart bet
~4%
of creators worldwide earn more than $100K a year.¹
The internet is loud about quitting: leave your corporate job, become a full-time creator, go all in on yourself. A corporate career can still give you a steady paycheck, healthcare, a 401(k), and room to earn more — you can like your nine-to-five and want a bigger role inside it.
The problem, in one question
If I asked your manager, or the most senior leader in your orbit, to describe you in three words, what would they say? You can probably name every project you've delivered this year. It may be harder to say what you're known for, or what your name signals in a room before you walk in. When senior leaders can't quickly connect your name to a strength, a result, or a business priority, it becomes harder for them to make the case for your promotion.
Doing good work matters. Making sure the right people understand its impact matters too.

Live workshop with Jeanelle
Build your 90-day plan, compare how compensation tends to move in internal promotions versus external hires, and learn how to position yourself for a stronger offer.
About that salary conversation
Jeanelle returned from two maternity leaves and moved into a promotion both times. Earlier in her career, she pursued an internal stretch role with one open seat in one of the company's most competitive offices, and got it. She's lived the difference between waiting to be noticed and giving decision-makers a clear case. In the workshop, she'll break down what internal promotions typically pay, why external offers are calculated differently, and how to prepare for either conversation.
- ~8.5%
- Average pay increase tied to an internal promotion
- 18–20%
- How much more external hires were paid than employees promoted into comparable roles

These are different benchmarks, not a promise that every job change will produce a 20% raise. Understanding how employers set each number will help you go into the conversation with a stronger position.

Who this is for
Good at the job, under-recognized for it
This challenge is for managers through VPs who are good at the job and under-recognized for it. You may have watched a colleague with less experience get the visibility, the stretch project, or the title. This week will help you make your contribution easier to see and your case easier to advocate for. Every framework is built for corporate life and designed to fit alongside a full-time job, because Jeanelle has one too.
The challenge starts Tuesday, September 8
Registration is open now. The community space opens Friday, September 4.

She built these frameworks because she had no other choice, and she still uses them to lead global teams today.
She teaches these frameworks while actively using them as a C-suite executive.
